When girls at a school in Auckland, New Zealand were told their skirts had to fall below their knees, their principal decided to give the most WTF reason in the history of sexist dress code decrees. According to The Guardian, the school’s deputy principal told them this new rule was intended to “keep our girls safe, stop boys from getting ideas, and create a good work environment for male staff.”

In an article for The Daily Beast, former adult film star Aurora Snow, talks about how the definition of rape can become “muddled” in an industry where violent sex is the norm. “When your job regularly consists of roughing a woman up, ignoring her pleas, and choking her out, do you start to bring some of that behavior home with you?” she asks.

If I’m being honest, I have to admit seeing Peggy and Rizzo’s relationship morph from friendship to romance (via a declaration of love over the phone) was both exciting and sweet. It was hard not to smile when Rizzo ran all the way to Peggy’s office just to hear her say “I love you,” in person. And you just know Peggy and Rizzo are gonna make it because they started out as friends and unlike Joan’s boyfriend, Richard, Stan Rizzo supports Peggy’s career ambition.
